Sri Lanka Want World Cup Win For Murali

Sri Lanka wants to win the World Cup trophy goodbye to legendary spinner and world record holder Muttiah Muralitharan who is retiring after the International Cricket tournament.

The spinner, who holds the record of the test (800) and the teller of a day (521), playing his fourth and last World Cup. He retired from the tests in July last year.

“There is a special person, a legend,” said his partner Chamara Kapugedera the wily 38-year high on Thursday.

“Everyone in the team wants to give him (Murali) a good send. We want to win the Cup Murali. It would be a great honor,” said at the team practice Kapugedera Premadasa Stadium in Colombo R. renovated.

Sri Lanka’s 1996 World Cup winners in 2007 and second place, is also keen to lift the trophy for legions of fans who treat the sport as a religion.

“The people of Sri Lanka has been very supportive of us, even in bad times. So we are working hard to make our way back to our Cup fans as well,” said drummer right.

Nicknamed “Kapu” way of managing the drummer just two points in the first part of Sri Lanka in their first Group A match against Canada on Sunday.

Expect a tougher test on Saturday when Sri Lanka to meet the South Asian rivals Pakistan in Colombo.
